Terms and Conditions
Welcome to Glimpse, a platform of inspirational sustainability experiences. Our platform (operated under ABN 24 535 259 073) helps connect Buyers with Hosts (providers of experiences) interested in booking experiences, events, talks, workshops, activities, and tours.
The relationship between Glimpse and Hosts (experience/activity providers) is that of a facilitator and Glimpse is not liable for acts and omissions of Hosts.
By booking an experience, you confirm that you:
- are aged 18 years or older;
- have read, understood and agree to be bound by this Agreement;
- warrant that you acknowledge and agree to be the Group Leader;
- warrant that where you are making a group booking on behalf of other individuals, that all members have been made aware of and agree to be bound by this Agreement
- Acknowledge that as the Group Leader you are responsible for all payments in a booking, unless all group members have made payment in full.
If you do not accept this Agreement including any of its terms and conditions, you must cease to use any of our Services and not make a booking with us.
Refunds and Cancellations
In the event you need to cancel your event, the following cancellation charges apply unless you’ve been given a separate cancellation policy when booking your specific experience:
- Cancellations within 14 days from the start of your event — 100% of the amount paid will be forfeited
- Cancellations within 15 days or more — your deposit will be forfeited
- Final payment is due 4 weeks prior to the date of the event booking and we reserve the right to cancel any booking where payment has not been received in full by the due date.
No refunds are payable by Glimpse where you and/or your guests are refused entry or participation by a Host due to intoxication or use of illicit substances.
An Experience may be cancelled by the Host due a number of unforeseeable circumstances, including weather, and this is beyond Glimpse’s control. If a Host cancels an Experience for any reason, you will be offered to reschedule your Booking to an alternative date and time up to the value of your original Booking. If the alternative date and time does not suit you or the Host is unable to reschedule your Booking, we will provide you with a refund.
Change Policy
If changes are needed to your booking, we’ll do our best to help accommodate, although we cannot guarantee that we will always be able to do this as changes are subject to availability and the individual terms and conditions respective to the Hosts.
- If you would like to change your booking, you must make a request to us in writing as soon as possible For changes to the date or location of the event, the booking is subject to a $50 administration fee.
- Additional guests: Once final payment is made, additional people can be added to the booking based on availability. This will be charged at the per-person rate in your final invoice.
Deposit and Final Payment
When booking on Glimpse, you will be required to pay a deposit when booking. All deposits are non-refundable. Final payment is required no later than 4 weeks prior to the event or otherwise stated by us.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Australian law, we do not accept any liability of whatever nature, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, for the acts, omissions or default, whether negligent or otherwise, of third party providers over whom we have no control.
Under circumstances where liability cannot be excluded, such liability is limited to the supply of the services again or the cost of the purchased Services paid by you. You agree to indemnify us, our employees and representatives from and against all actions, claims, suits, demands, damages, liabilities or costs (including legal costs) arising from, or which is directly or indirectly related to the use of the Services, our site, or any other products or services accessed via our site. Glimpse shall only be liable to provide a refund to you to the extent that that it actually receives a refund from the relevant supplier or other third party.
You agree to observe and obey all rules and warnings provided, and further agree to follow any oral instructions or directions given by us or the Hosts. You acknowledge that there may be some inherent risk associated with the services you participate in as supplied by the Hosts. You assume full responsibility for personal injury to yourself, injuries to others and further release and discharge us from all actions, suits, claims, demands and causes of action whatsoever at law, in equity and under statute which you may have or for this document would, could or might at any future time have or have had against us in respect of or arising out of either directly or indirectly the Services we provide.
You agree to pay for all damages caused to any Host facilities visited as part of the arrangements caused by your neglect, reckless or willful actions. You agree to and hereby assume all risk, dangers and hazards associated with use or participation in the Host’s activities, including the possible risk of severe or fatal injury to others. In addition to the foregoing, these risks include but are not limited to the following: a) the risk associated with travel to and from the venues and locations included in the Host’s services; b) intoxication and/or alcohol poisoning from the alcohol you consume; c) the possibility of bodily injury; and d) being in altercations with others (which is not condoned or tolerated by us). You agree to indemnify us from all third party actions, suits, claims, demands and causes of action whatsoever at law, in equity and under statute as result of your behavior and actions.
Disclaimers
- Descriptions of Listings: We try our best to ensure that Listing descriptions on the Website are accurate and up-to-date, however the information provided in Listings is general in nature and the specific content or format of some Experiences may change slightly from time to time. Glimpse will use its best endeavours to ensure the Listing substantially matches the Host’s experience however we are not responsible for minor variations in the Host’s services.
- Host Terms: In addition to these Terms, your participation in an Experience may be subject to the terms and conditions of a Host. Any Terms provided by a Host in relation to an Experience, are entered into as a separate and binding contractual agreement between you and the Host. Glimpse is not a party to, and accepts no liability under, any Host Terms.
- Photos: Any photos used on our Website as part of a Listing are provided as a general indication only of what the Experience entails and may not be provided directly from the Host themselves. Any photos are for promotional and advertising purposes only.
- Duration: Any session lengths provided on a Listing are estimates only and are provided as a guide to the total time an Experience may take. We are not responsible for minor variations between the estimated and actual session start/end time and session length.
- Restrictions: Some Experiences are subject to minimum age, weight or health requirements or other restrictions. Any requirements or restrictions relevant to a particular Experience will either be set out in the Listing or contained within the Host Terms. Please read the Listing and the Host Terms carefully before purchasing the Experience. It is your responsibility to read and understand any requirements and restrictions relevant to an Experience before purchasing. If you purchase an Experience and are required to cancel later due to not meeting certain requirements or restrictions, the terms of our Refund Policy will apply and you may not be entitled to a refund.
Intellectual Property
We retain ownership of, and reserve all rights in, any Intellectual Property Rights owned or licenced by us for all materials (whether owned or licenced by us) developed and/or provided in connection with the Website (including text, graphics, logos, design, icons, images, sound and video recordings, pricing, downloads and software).
